Small headbands and furry hats

Maybe it is Christmas time or then just a feeling that there is plenty of things to do.
I am inspired to a certain degree (always the case when there is no time) and would love to try out various dress designs and other things. When I actually have time to do that remains a mystery. I am eagerly waiting for Christmas Holiday to begin (next week!).

As I said in my previous post I have been busy with commissions. I recently got a commission for full MSD dress set and I have visited fabric stores in order to find some suitable fabrics for it. I did do an extensive cleaning in my fabric box and put all my fabrics in the same place so they would be easy to find. There are so many and I still don't have enough!

Of course I do not feel like sewing all the time. So I wanted to make some more of the headbands. Now in smaller size as the previous ones were all for  SD/Super Gem sized. These three were made for Yo-SD/Tiny but also fit small headed MSDs.

Yesterday I finished one commissioned headband similar to the first design shown in these picture but in white / pale orange colors. So yes, these are available to be commissioned in the colors /sizes you wish for provided that I have the flowers around in that particular color / style.

The first design was sold before I had the chance to post it up in the store, but the other two similar designs will be available through the store.

Some quick pictures of the new furry hats I previously mentioned. There are three designs and they fit for heads 8-9 as well as 9-10 inch. Their insides are lined with japanese pattern fabrics. Strangely enough the animals seem to be straight out from Alice in Wonderland without me noticing it while making them. I guess it isn't very hard to figure out what is one of my favourite stories.. And certainly one of those that inspire me a lot.

Hisa made it back to me. She was having a new face-up with her twin sister Himawari ~ Both of them came back to me, Hisa home and Himawari to visit so I can take lovely twin pictures (Himawari just has to borrow someone's body.. ). They make nice models for the hats, don't you think?

I did make three hats out of the furry fabric until it ran out. However, I was left with tiny pieces and I didn't want them to go to waste. Thus I made a furry collar and an armwarmer for SD/Supergem girls. They are offered as a set. Nice for some winter themed pictures, right?

Furry bunny hat with black stitching and Furry cat hat with white stitching.

Furry mouse hat and collar + armwarmer set on Hisa
Now I am off to update the store so that these new furry wintery items will be available. Thank you for reading!

Commissions

Days are dark, but so far snow has not stayed on the ground.
I hardly have any chances to take pictures so that there would be daylight around.
Thus, my apologies, the pictures are rather dark and bad quality at the moment.
I still feel its better to document with something than be completely without pictures.
Pictures give some life to my dull writings, don't you think?

My models at the moment. Hisa and a new cat hat design and a Soom Migma, nameless girl with lacy choker and headpiece.
Commission: A full white satin dress similar to Soft Peony design.
I have been busy with few commissions. Finished one bunny hat in MSD size, Then got a boost to try one new fabric I recently found (I can never have enough fabrics although I keep saying I won't buy anything more until I have used all I have... ). There, I got a new cat hat design you see on Hisa. Also made another with bunny ears, maybe the third and last (the fabric will only be enough for three SD sized ones..) will have yet another set of animal ears.. Which ones I should choose? Maybe mouse ears or something?

Polkodot skirts - light brown in Supergem size, dark brown in Narae/Unoa size
Completed one Narae/Unoa sized polkadot skirt. The biggest thing was that satin dress. It is lovely though, now I see it completed. All shiny and long. Should perhaps do few more longer dress designs for sale as well.Along with the satin dress I completed one black corset top and black Supergem underwear set. I might be able to get some pictures of them later on. No light to do that now.

Next on the table I have Hisa who would need at least something new to wear for Christmas. Thought I would give it a try out of some nice polkadot fabrics. Accepted a commission of MSD dress set as well. So two projects going on even now. Few weeks till Christmas! I was thinking to do a kind of event but in the middle of everything I don't think I have sufficient time to complete that plan, not for Christmas. But! I didn't say I would give up on the idea. Will keep those plans firmly in my mind~
Now to finish some seams and to start off something new.

Tiny tiny yukata time

I was travelling during the weekend.
Therefore was not able to complete much, but at least I got something done.
One evening I got a boost to test those new japanese fabrics I previously mentioned. What would be a better way to try them out than to make something useful? Nene was indirectly in need of a Kimono/Yukata so that she would have something for the teaparty shoot I have been planning to do at some point. So, the idea developed into this:
Yukata and Yo-SD/Tiny headpiece photographed together
The lovely picture here is taken by my friend Idaheika. I cannot take many of my own at the moment since I go home too late for there to be any daylight. But! Isn't it lovely how well the yukata goes with the flowery headpiece? New headpieces will be posted for sale at later stage when I get proper pictures of them. They are more simpler in design than those I made out of roses before. So, something new again.

Currently I am working on one commission - An MSD Bunny hat. Other possible commissions include a long satin dress, bra set for supergem and a corset top all in black. As I usually use bright and flowery fabrics (that is what these japanese fabrics are..) it feels different to use dark colors for a change. Previously I used to make a lot of dark clothing for Aya [CP DES], but currently as said, I have moved to these bright flowery fabrics. So, will see how those pieces will turn out. I promise more pictures once these new pieces have been completed. Also, I have been lazy with that SD macarons skirt. Having some issues with Hisa's style although that shouldn't prevent me from finishing that one...

Yo-SD/Tiny clothing

I believe I promised pictures of the clothing stuffs as well.
Although I had different sized stuff on my list it seems my pictures include only tiny clothing I made.
It seems I have a period to do something for smaller sizes, so I don't think there will be much SD stuff coming in near future. Probably also because I only have my MSD and Tiny around at the moment.

In these pictures you see Nene, Soom Sammi who recently arrived. I was in need of a tiny model and Soom Ai just didn't seem to work for me. Now I have Nene to try out. I have a special head for her as well, but I haven't gotten around doing the face-up for it just yet. It has been raining a lot. Maybe within two weeks time I might be able to do that..

Knee-lengt Yo-SD/Tiny sized dress
I have no idea what kind of style I would like for her, but she looks nice with this new dress. Button details in front and corset style details with ribbons at the back along with lace. Nice one ~

The same knee-length tiny dress has interesting details at the back..
With ribbon you can adjust it better ~
The color of the fabric suits her pink skin. I believe I have posted this for sale already so please take a look.

I was suppose to proceed and try some patterns I have, but I didn't get there yet. Instead I ended up drawing a new pattern for a simple Yo-SD/Tiny sized yukata. I received some lovely kimono fabrics as well as lots of polkadot fabrics to try out some plans. Now I think I do have enough fabrics to work on for a while. No fabric orders coming to my way. Well, maybe laces and buttons(!), but still.

Other thing I finished already a while ago. A waist high skirt in tiny size. Previously I mentioned something about doing Mix & Match stuff and this was one of those. I also have one simpler one in SD size once I get it fully finished.
Yo-SD/Tiny Mix & Match Macarons fabric skirt
I have various plans to buy wigs and eyes. I want to use them in the pictures as my girls hardly have any extra ones. Its also nice to change the style from time to time. So maybe later there will be pictures with more effort for display purposes. I would love to develop my skills with photographing dolls. I try to take more innovative shots rather than only head/close-ups. Might consider that as one good promise for next year. As for now I am afraid of those many Winter Events coming around... Already have few I need to consider... But enough of that.

As my last thing here I wish to mention that also bunny hats have gained some recognition :3
Received few commissions regarding them and will start working next week.

Scrapbooking and jewellery

Weekend came and went. All too fast.
As promised I was able to complete a lot during the weekend time while having 'leisure time' for myself'.
I like scrapbooking so I wanted to test whether this kind of book would come out nicely.
It did, in my opinion at least. A bit bigger for Tiny and probably just a right size for an SD sized doll.
Scrapbooking - A tiny book - just a right size for dolls ~!
I plan to make few more for sale in the future as well. Along with the one pictured here.

I use a lot scrapbooking papers to make all kind of stuff. Also finished few boxes of which I didn't take any pictures. Good for storing little things.

Sometimes magazines are a good place to get inspiration from ~

Tiny-sized butterfly handcuffs
New jewellery designs - SD/MSD/Tiny
Usually I do not buy many magazines or anything. However, there are few publications I like. One of them is Daphne's Diary which has nice little things - DIY stuff and interesting articles from antique markets, places etc. Too bad we don't have something similar in Finland. So, while I have  the chance I enjoy reading this one.

More than  sewing I have had energy to do some smaller things like jewellery and arm cuffs. First batch of jewellery was well received so I wanted to make some more out of the little stuff I had around. New designs can be seen from the picture below. What is also nice is that they are suitable for variety of dolls without looking into their size. Necklace is just longer for smaller dolls :3

In some of my previous entries I mentioned I had done few tiny sized head pieces. Here is one picture of them. I was suppose to take pictures of them on a doll's head as well, but unfortunately I forgot.. Next time..

SD-sized handcuffs were also well received so I wanted to try something similar in tiny size. As I love butterflies and Fireflies it was natural to try something like this. Butterfly themed handcuffs ~ Quite like them myself.

I plan to put them up at the store at later stage, as well as the other things shown in this entry. They were made for sale after all.

Must say I am pretty satisfied when I look at how much things I was able  to finish. In this entry I did not include the clothing stuff which I managed to work on as well. I will save those pictures to be posted later this week.

It seems to be the time for Christmas parties. Not that I have received invitations, but the general mood is there. Dark evening make me feel tired though. There is not much light to take photos either. I only have weekends when I am able to enjoy the whole day.
Such are the winters.

Eagerly waiting for snow to come. Still no sign of that in the way that it would stay on the ground. Too warm still. But I know there will be a time for that. If not sooner I will see it once I go up North. In the Netherlands snow is just a one week phenomenon which messes up everything whereas in Finland its suppose to be nearly half a year occurrence. Quite a difference there.

I hope I was able to provide some pictures of the new things and that they will be well received as well.

Please keep checking back for more updates.
Clothing entry is soon to follow although I may already post the items for sale :3
Also, if there is something you are interested in, but its in a wrong size/color please feel free to ask whether its possible to make the kind you would wish for. I do accept commissions occassionally when the time permits.

Fabric news

Just when I made a decision not to buy any new fabrics..
Apparently as soon as you decide not to do something the temptation increases considerably.
So, I ended up ordering some fabrics from Japan just to have a proper stock from which to do stuffs.
Now I cannot really justify any more. Have to start using all the lovely stuff I have gathered.
Some of the new fabrics that are coming...

I cannot quite believe its November already.
Christmas is coming soon. I have been wishing to buy some Christmas theme laces and ribbons, but their usage time is so short in comparison. Although I don't mean to say that Christmas themed clothing shouldn't be used on other times as well, especially when they are lovely.

My point is that I think I will try to keep away from totally Christmas themed clothing (keep such things on commission base only.. So you may ask if interested of course :3) and instead offer new stuffs for Mix & Match.

About my models (my own dolls). MNF Siean Elf face-up is completed and now she would need a body. Then I will have a model for MNF/Unoa sized clothing and hopefully will be able to offer such things at the beginning of next year.

I also feel I have been able to find a tiny that seems to work for me. Soom Sammi she is. Named Nene just recently. Probably will post few pictures of her modelling the tiny skirt + an underskirt I plan to make. Baby pink skin color is interestingly different, which is why I think she might stick around at least longer than other tinies. I admit I do have a difficulty with tiny sized dolls. Small as they are.. and I prefer more mature girls.. So lets keep fingers crossed for Nene.

For the coming weekend I have plans to complete / make this and that so I hope I have some pictures to share after those few days of intensive sewing. So please keep checking back.

HINT: There might also be a small giveaway of some of the old clothing stock I have around but as I have not done giveaways before this still needs some planning. There is no guarantee such will happen in time for Christmas but that will be seen. Other possible option is a random clothing gift for all those who buy during December...
Oh the plans! And I have to get some nice paper...

Tsukifly headpieces

I have been planning to write this for a while now.
Past week was productive as I got a real boost to make some new headpieces.
The previous ones were well received so I wanted to make some more.

These pictured here are all SD/SG sized ones, but there are few coming in tiny size when I get proper pictures of them.
Two headpieces with lace bands.

For some reason I like to have a bit ornate feeling in my headpieces, thus I wish to add a lot of flowers.
These are rather detailed in that sense. More small flowers to give details, even some glitter.

Finally I just need to show off my lovely model. She is Soom Sweet Witch in Grey skin tone. Sheri is her name. Currently I am travelling between two places while she needs to stay in one place. I miss her already, but at least I got few pictures to look at while being away. Her dreamy look is so lovely.

Sheri and a glimpse of one of the headpieces.

Currently working on:
- A candy pullip dress commission
- Tiny headpieces (x2)
- SD skirt (Macarons fabric)
- Jewellery pieces

The things mentioned on the list above are hopefully around sometime soon depending how I have time to complete them.
Keep checking back!

Oriental style

This weekend was productive.
I got lots of new ideas and I was also able to finish some of the products I have been working on for a longer time (longer time because I haven't had time to finish them..).

List of currently on-going/nearly finished products:
*Knee-length SD skirt (pinkish macarons fabric)
*Yo-SD/Tiny tulle dress (black/pink/orange/red)
*Commission pullip dres (candy themed)

Model: Iituheika's Ama [Soom Migma (LV)]

I am especially proud of this one dress I finally finished during the weekend.

The Oriental styled dress is made to fit Soom Supergem sized girls. Ribbon to tie it around the neck + snap fasteners at the back. A lovely flower/bead details in front and a long furry skirt which I personally love. The dress will come with a headpiece shown in the photos. The headpiece has flower/bead details to with matching colors with the upper part of the dress.
I hope the dress will be well received.

I am having lots of fun with my new dress designs etc. but my own dolls would need time and some consideration as well as style changes. I recently made a Licht wig order to get some new styles for my girls.

Also eargerly waiting for snow to come. Probably won't happen for a while but maybe next month? This week I have heard news of huge storm..

First snow and feeling of frost

Its been a while again. My apologies for that.
I haven't been able to take many pictures due to some difficulties with my camera.
Considering to update it to something smaller and more convinient although my Canon 400D has served me well.

Last week I was granted a small autumn holiday. While I was greatful for that I decided to work on some new Tsukifly designs. One long Supergem dress is waiting to be finished (I must say its a bit different from my previous designs). There is also one Yo-sd dress. Two MNF/Unoa sized corset tops were also almost finished. One SD sized knee-length skirt is around as well. Most of these pieces need snap fasteners and some small finishing details.

Tsukifly set suggestion:
One of the last bigger headpieces (there were three bigger ones and one with smaller flowers) is still around so I decided to try it out with one of the new dresses. The Paris themed dress, not properly pictures in my previous blogpost was selected.

My dear friend took a lovely picture of the dress on one of her dolls. The two parts of the set are both for sale.
The dress is pictures here with a longer petticoat which is unfortunately not included with the dress.
However, it is shown here how an underskirt can create a nice extra lift for the whole dress.
Both the dress and the headdress can be found from Tsukifly store~

Model: Ceylon
Please see my friend's Flickr: Iituheika's Flickr photostream
One commissioned pullip dress is around my table now. It is going to be a candy themed thing. Just to reveal something about it until its ready to be shared. I have some issues how to create frosting so we will see if that works out...

Oh, you are probably wondering about the title of this entry. During my autumn holiday in Northern Finland we got first snow, frost and minus degrees. I didn't spend much time outside, but still, the air is quite nice when its cold. Somehow fresh but different than what you get after rain. Hard to explain really..

My doll crew is also experiencing some 'cleansing' so to say.
I have the feeling I have too many around so I am selling some of my lovely ones on DoA. They are not getting enough attention or I am just not bonding with them the way I hoped.

Almost all the newest ones are going to have to go. These include DD-Anne March Hare, Soom Sweet Witch OE head, Soom Ai (see previous blogpost), and Noble Dolls Valentine Raspberry in Dark tan. As said I feel I need to consider a little what I want from my dolls.

I have a story around my dolls. Unless they become a solid part of it they are in danger to be up for adoption (sometimes even quite fast). Currently I am looking for a MNF model though. I was hoping Raspberry would have worked for that but nope. She is too special for my taste if I may say so. I am hoping all the above mentioned dollies find their new loving homes soon.

Noble Dolls Valentine Raspberry (Dark Tan) up for adoption.
You can see a glimpse of the other corset top here as well.
Please keep checking back for new updates once I have finished those I am currently working on.

Lovely autumn and Tiny/MSD/SD stuff

I should learn to be quiet about estimations regarding schedule as I do not seem to be able to keep them.
But! Now I do have more news to write about. That, I hope, will compensate a little.

First I must comment the lovely autumn here in Finland.
All the colors! Its getting darker and colder though. A minor minus side to all the glory.
Something autumn inspired for sale
I have been waiting for a nice weather to go out and take photographs.
So far no luck, I have been sitting at work during those days I have seen such a weather. There should still be some time before the colors fade for the winter.

I found some autumn colored flowery stuffs from which I have made some headpieces previously. These were more varied and nicely colored.
Made a wreath out of them as seen in the pictures.
It is first one in Yo-SD/MSD size. Possibly there will be more to come.
At least in this size if not with autumn theme.
Yo-SD skirt - Pink macarons!
Previously I think I mentioned I had some pieces done or half done. This little Yo-SD skirt made from pinkish macarons fabric was one of those. I am still working on to make a piece under it so that I could properly take pictures of it. It is a skirt up to waist area, with a huge bow tie at the back.

My cute little helper - Soom Ai
For a while I was without a proper Yo-SD model. Then I discovered this little Soom Ai looking for a new home and decided to try her out. I am a bit difficult with small sized dolls, they don't seem to work for me as good as SDs do. So far this little one has captured me with her innocent look.

I made her a face-up and now she is intently taking part to my sewing processes. More pictures of her can be found from my Flickr. Still undecided about the name.

I had problems with MSD size as well as I didn't have proper model for that sized clothing either. Now I have my Tori [Dollmore Cherry Dream Torrie] around again. Here is one MSD sized tutu dress going for sale. Light colors are not perhaps entirely for Tori, but she can model them okay :3

MSD sized tutu dress for sale (for flat chest MSDs)
Also one SD sized dress. Made from a lovely Paris / France themed fabic I previously found from Etsy. I am in the process of getting proper pictures of it on a doll. All my SD girls are now elsewhere so that has to wait a bit.

SD sized dress for sale.
At least now I can say that I have posted some pictures and that some progress has been made during the weeks I have remained silent. It seems don't have as much free time to dedicate to sewing nor inspiration (I have done some dolly face-ups to balance out with sewing though..) and without time and inspiration the process is quite impossible. I have gone through huge pile of dolly things that need to go for sale and cleaning in my dolly closet will take place at some point.

Thanks for checking back,
~Tsuki

Something new

Not so innovative heading, but tells the main reason why I am writing this.
I have made something! I took pictures etc. so I have achieved something during these quiet weeks.
I also travelled back to Holland for a while and visited Stoffenmarkt.
Got some new fabrics although I didn't really need any.
But you can never have enough fabrics, right? ~

I discovered my Kit lens has damaged, automatic focus is not functioning properly, poor thing.
Lucky I still have my Sigma zoom/macro lens. Covers the area of the kit lens and it is better anyway so I should use it more. Only that it is heavy to carry around.
Planning to get either 40mm pancake lens or 50mm lens for normal photographing.
Fisheye and 60mm Macro would also be on my list at some point *-*

I have finished three new dresses for sale. Rest will be up once I get proper photos.
Here is one photo of Vanamo modelling one of the three dresses.
Tsukifly Tutu dress with a white dress choker. The dress has three layers.
For the other two dresses I used Paris themed fabric and tulle.

Tsukifly Tutu dress w/lace choker
One SD sized dress coming in addition to the one pictured here.
The third one is finally in MSD size. Still have some issues with the design and Tori isn't very happy modelling such a light coloured dress. Poor thing has no options though.

I have plans to get more pictures next week. However, I have noticed that my plans are rather lenient as I have no idea whether I will actually have time to do the things I would like to. Will see about that.

Oh! Almost forgot. There are also few SD sized skirts. Mix & Match styled clothing coming up. I will now have my flat chested MSD girl around to model, maybe I will later get a Minifee or someone with a larger bust. Slim mini size.

Waiting for a tiny as well. About her I don't know (kind of impulse buy) but I figured a tiny would still be handy to have around.
I will be back with more photos, plans and news.

Short update

It seems I haven't been able to keep my promise.
While I am still hoovering around without my dear camera I have no means to take proper photos of what I am currently working on. No proper models around either. I feel I cannot "torture" boys to wear girl stuff.

I can tell you though. Or try at least.
First, I am very grateful to my dear friend who has been my support.
Also providing me a proper access to her sewing machine <3

Currently working on a layered tiny dress out of one pinkish macaron fabric. Recently finished one dress (later offered for sale), a bit different style, lovely creamy color, SD-sized. Also made an attempt to make a pair of bloomers for a tiny. Came out pretty well if I may say, have to picture them later as well. I have also drawn some patterns to try out MSD sized dresses once I get Tori (my DM Torrie) around to model for me.

So, pictures maybe there next week as I am going to get my camera this weekend.
Please be patient and keep checking back :3

Updates coming soon

It is apparent that I have been rather quiet recently.
I have had a lot going on in my life and thus haven't had much time for sewing.

Hisa is away getting a new face-up and I am missing her terribly.
During the spring she was my primary model for SD dresses and although I now have a possibility to use my other SD girls (Vanamo - Volks Kurumi and Aya - CP DES) as models it is hard to change my preferred model.
Hisa's body got hot-glue sueded of which I am very glad. She is able to pose better.

No pictures for this post as I had to leave my camera behind as well.
Next month is sure to be more productive. Both pictures and clothing.

During my short summer break (3 weeks only and constantly travelling) I was able to use few days to sew one dress out of the lovely Etsy fabrics I got earlier. Pretty much the same style as my previous ones, with some nice details. Vanamo was the model for that one, therefore it will fit to SD girls with larger bust. Next post will probably bring around few pictures.

I am also happy to announce that MSD sized clothing will be available next month.
I have few plans for MSD sized full dresses from some fabrics I found from my closet.
Those will most likely have layer designs, those were previously well received and I wish to do more.

I have been requested to try out some bloomers.
Made a few attempts in tiny size. If those come out okay later they may also become available.
So far the pattern has made progress, but not quite enough for me to be satisfied.

Thank you for reading,
~ Tsuki

Commission and White Rabbit outfit

Lately I have been rather quiet. It has to do with summer holiday and the fact that I have been unable to gain access to internet for most of the time. Now that period is more or less over. This means I will be able to update more often.

Here is what has happened. After Dolliverse I got commissioned to make an MSD sized version of the bunny outfit I had made in tiny and SD size. Additional arm cuffs were requested as well. One picture of how it turned out. I had no MSD model available so the dress was made accoding to the size chart. A bit more difficult since I prefer to see it on a doll while making my dresses. Different methods need to be applied sometimes.

Tsukifly MSD commission dress for meymeez.
For more pictures please check her Flickr:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/58332578@N03/9309811770/lightbox/
From what I remember I already hinted I was working on Alice in Wonderland themed dresses as my next "bigger" project. First one of those is White Rabbit, now posted for sale as well. The dress comes with upper corset top, choker, arm cuffs, bunny ear headdress and a puffy skirt. Size is Super gem or similar sized dolls. Luella acting as a model for these few pictures.

First Alice themed dress: White Rabbit

Dress and all its parts
I have also used some nice macaron/Paris themed fabrics for few new SD dresses, knee lenght. I hope to get pictures of them at some point when I finish smaller details. Inspired to use the fabrics. Now I have my MSD model around as well. It is likely that  moreMSD sized dresses will soon be available.

Decorative flower headpieces

If you have checked Tsukifly's Store regularly you might have noticed that I have added few new designs after the headpieces I introduced in the previous post. After that post the blue one pictured at the bottom found a new home. I am happy and its currently waiting to be shipped.

So, encouraged by some of the comments I got concerning the previous headpieces I wanted to try a bit more decorative ones with more details. This naturally meant more flowers. Also tried out some new color combinations.
Only white flowers. I must say I like the bridal look of this one.

This one is my favourite out of the four new ones. Used colors are blue, white and gray.
Seems to go well with Luella.

This one is the most extensive, the Store has a better picture of the details.
Used colors are pink, white, gray and blue.

One with less details and big flowers to balance out my day :3
Almost all of the new headpieces have been listed for sale as well. I will also post the last one with less details later on. Currently I am working on a complete dress set for Supergem girls. Unfortunately that is the only size I have a model for at the moment. All my girls are elsewhere except for Luella and I am eagerly waiting to get back to them once my summer holiday begins at the end of next week. During my holiday I have bunch of plans and I wish to take more creative photos. Inside photos aren't really what I like to take, but in the absence of an alternative... Well, have to take those for a while. Anyway, the dress set will be OOAK white rabbit 'girl' version. Just to reveal something about it.

Tsukifly Mix&Match and headpieces

I have been inspired lately.
Unfortunately I have currently no access to any sewing machine so everything must be done by hand.
This takes time and effort, however, I consider the pieces made by hand as good in quality as those done by sewing machine. Very old fashioned ways, but that was how it was done before sewing machines.

Some of the new designs have been added to the store.
Recently my good friend featured Tsukifly's Storenvy shop in her blog. Thank you!
Please take a look, also for cute giveaways.
Her blog is named Caketown ~

She was also the one to introduce me Storenvy. I have been greatly inspired by the whole thing although I am still a bit unsure how the whole thing will start to work in the long run. Something that I have to see during longer period of time.

I was asked to do some Mix&Match with Tsukifly clothing. As I now consider I have enough stock around to try them on I also discovered that the skirts made in SD/SD13 size do fit nicely also on Supergem girls. Luella (Soom MD Cuprit) is wearing all possibly by me. The flower headpiece was done today, the choker has been listed for sale and the skirt and top will be there at some point. It is challenging for me to get whole pictures to function. I prefer close-ups. But my point here was that all the pieces can be worn together and are thus quite functional in my opinion.

Headpieces - Today's project
Well, not all were done today, as the first picture shows previously made pin with a beaded dragonfly and flower details. I just needed to get proper pictures of it. Had not done that yet. Luella is also wearing the black choker for the pictures so I got that one pictured as well. Happy about that.

Okay, these two headpieces were the ones I made today. I wanted something with a summer touch to it. Lace was used for the band itself with nice (and big!) flower details. I also love things that hang and therefore both of the pieces have something hanging from them. The other more than the other :) The pink one has a small pink ribbon and plain gold ring details, not really visible in the picture though (sorry!). The blue one had Alice in Wonderland white rabbit, chair and playing card attached on the other side while the other side has a spoon and a clock details. More of a theme headpiece.

Blue headpiece on Luella.
I don't know about you, but I am complete fan of these headpieces.
It is likely that I will do some other colors and designs similar to these.
I also welcome commissions if there are any specific color combinations/designs you would like to see.
Always open to try out everything new.

Tsukifly has a store~!

I must say I did not plan to set up a store so quickly.
However, I concluded it would be easier to keep track of what I have in stock and what I would like to make next. Some variety in products will be achieved through this, I hope.

The Store can be found from: http://tsukifly.storenvy.com/
I will try to keep it as updated as possible. Most of the stock I have available ready  to be shipped are now there. The blog as well as the story are still to be made more user friendly. I will be doing the work when I have time. Please enjoy~

New products include underwears!~
I heard they might be wanted so I wanted to try and make some.
This is a set offered at the shop, includes both top and panties pictured. Size is SD, but I plan to try some in MSD as well. Later also MNF size if I am able to get my hands on a model.
Navy blue SD underwear set
I am very pleased how Supergem bra turned out. The color is not exactly what my girl would wear but then again they were made out of curiosity. Personally I love how the details came out.
Fitted pink bra for Supergems
I also had some cute leftover stuff to make some necklaces. I still have plans for several others but they have to wait a little until I have more time to think about them.
Also a cute Lollipop/ribbon necklace. Have to have some accessories as well.
Overall a lot of work for one day. I think I have earned my break. Please keep checking back.

New design and a pullip dress

Dolliverse has gone and other things have been in my mind.
My lovely suitcases.
White one for Alina (CP Juri '05) and pink/flower one for Vanamo and Hisa
Also found cute pastilles.
My dear friend went back to China and I am also leaving the Netherlands for a while to do my internship.
I am hoping to have access to sewing machine and my extensive fabric collection better when I get back home home. I suspect I might feel like opening a treasure chest or something~

At least now I have some pictures to share.
The suitcases I chose from our table at Dolliverse to be used for some dolly photos later. Absolutely love their details. There is also a hot air balloon necklace thing shown on one of the suitcases. That is going to be a necklace for either Hisa or Vanamo. Will see who will claim it once I get it done.

As said in my previous post there would have been more demand for pullip sized dresses.
I decided to test one as my dear friend was kind enough to provide me one extra body as a model.
Poor thing is headless, not really an ideal model but still, the dress can be shown :3
The light blue Pullip dress shown above is currently for sale: 17 Euros +  shipping

My lovely Luella (Soom MD Cuprit) is modeling a new lace tie back top.
Etsy fabrics which I will use later for dresses
Too dark for her style, but this was made to be offered for sale.
I think I like the design though. Also love the details through laces and ribbons (there are two at the back, as well as nother detail as there is only one snap fastener). I am fan of my own things~

I got loads of new fabrics and ribbons.
My lovely friend contributed a lot - Thank you sweetie

I had also placed an Etsy order for some new fabrics. They arrived this week and are absolutely lovely. Have to wait a bit till I get around doing something with them but they are so nice to look at. Keep it as a glimpse of what might be used for future designs.

Black lace tie back top.

I must say I was very happy to receive a commission work for one of my dress designs.
I will be updating picture of the finished product once that has been done.
As for the designs I can do them in different sizes if there is interest.

I am going to update commission/general infos and such later on. I have been considering whether to open an Etsy shop of my own. However, so far I don't have enough courage or time for that. Would need to do some better picture taking.

Maybe later then. For now I will just enjoy using all these new fabrics and surfing Etsy for new things (there can never be enough)..

Dolliverse 2013

So, yesterday I attended to Dolliverse 2013, a wonderful dolly event here in the Netherlands.
Met a lot of wonderful people and a special thanks to all those who liked my dresses and bought them.

Last time I had issues as I had very little time to prepare and very little to sell.
Now I had more which is why it took so long to get the stand up.
All those price tags...
I feel I was right to make tiny dresses as there were many tinies to  try them out.
However, I did notice that more Pullip sized clothing would have been needed.
Both dresses I had in Pullip size were sold.
There is something for me to consider for the next time I hope.
So, a list to remind me later.

To do better next time:
- Stand display planning
- Pullip sized clothing
- MSD sized clothing

Mai - DD-Anne March Hare is searching for a new home, she was also on display at the table.
Thus, it was not only the clothing but also DD-Anne table set and her, which made half of the display for this time.

Overall I am very pleased how the day went.
Now I will post some of the remaining stock to Den of Angels for sale.
The actual sales post can be viewed here:

Some pictures from yesterday as well. To share my excitement of the day.
My Hisa ( the one standing) and her twin sister Himawari were the cuties of our table

My attempt to take a picture of the stand itself..

A closer picture of the Tsukifly side of the table (as I shared my table with my friend).

My next plans are to work on some Alice in Wonderland themed dress sets.
I have plans for at least a girly white rabbit outfit set - So far I have half finished with a hat.
Also I need to plan a Cheshire outfit. Each of my girls is to take on a character from Alice in a photoshoot.
Once I get there someday. Of course would be awesome to make all the outfits for them myself under Tsukifly.
That is something to try at least.
So yes, that is all for now.
