Sneak peak - Pullip custom and little lace dress

This new update comes rather fast.
I got a little boost of inspiration and to my happiness these turned out pretty nicely.

First about the Pullip custom currently under preparation.
I had no idea what kind of face I would like for her, but something came up.
This is how we started off. Clean table?
This face-up was done using pastels and watercolor pencils.
For coating naturally MSC. I will add gloss around her eyes and lips once I get a chance (currently waiting for a new bottle to be tested..)

Pullip custom - face and eyes
No name yet, but she will be kind of candy victorian girl.
Whatever that description might disclose.
This was my first time to assemble Pullip eye mechanism and I was a bit horrified by it. But once it was there, everything in their rightful places (I do not tell in detail how I have my issues with attaching eyelashes... Every single time...) I am rather pleased by how she looks. The eyes even. Turned out as I hoped they would. The other, as said, is a bit "blind" so it is more hazy looking than the other. Eye patch is under preparation.. Also the dress has been started to a certain degree.

Tsukifly clothing then. New baby pink lace dress for Tiny/Yo-SD was completed today. Will be posted for sale later. I rather like how it turned out. This dress will be commissionable as long as the lace lasts. For now, only one is completed. For Dolliverse I plan to do few so they will be available there as well. I have also few other dress designs drawn - for tiny and MSD. I got MSD torso part that I can use to plan MSD sized clothing for those MSDs that have more mature bodies. My Tori has very childlike body - that is what Dollmore kid body is although otherwise I have no complaints whatsoever.

Yes, think that is a quick update and sneak peak on what is going on currently. I will keep you updated.

Candy Pink and planning

What an unimaginative title. Sorry about that.
Lately I feel I haven't had time nor wishes to touch anything near the sewing machine.
Other things in my mind and creativity seems to come in circles.
Or rather, in periods.

Little something I have been doing.
I think I need to give deep considerations as to how I want to display my girls and clothes.
I haven't been quite happy with the quality of my photos or clothing lately.
Now I have to learn to use my camera properly.

If you check back my previous entries there have been several girls working as my models.
I plan to update a list somewhere in the blog frame of my dolls. Easier for you to check their models and names.

Few photos here. This pink/white headband I actually made in November, but didn't have a camera to take any proper photos. Better late than never, right? I think it looks rather nice on Migma, with her violet skin.
Soom Migma with a Tsukifly headband w/pink and white flowers
And talking about sewing. During christmas holidays I fininshed Candy pink skirt with Candy/pink pearl details. It suits SD/SD13 girls and also goes on Super Gem girls as I discovered when I tried it on Migma.
Nicely all pink pink when combined with Candy pink corset. Mix&Match works with Tsukifly clothing.
This new picture (along with some others) have been updated to the Store. I must thank my friend for taking them ~!

Mix&Match Tsukifly clothing - Candy skirt with Candy corset
That is all for now.
Some plans I have for sewing but will see when I get around those.
Thank you for reading.

Mix & Match & Hot air balloon

It is snowing outside.
Rather cold with proper degrees (around -15 celsius during the weekend..)
I haven't been feeling inspired to touch the sewing machine but I went through some older creations.
One necklace - hot air balloon was found, I don't think I have taken pictures or posted it anywhere just yet.
I will correct that. A new picture of the Mix & Match experiment as well.
Discovered I have some amazing fabrics, should just get around doing something out of them.

One example how different Tsukifly clothes go together.
A skirt with high waist and pink Candy corset for Supergem.
Pictured on Soom Migma.
I updated some info and pictures in the Store. I should do some cleaning and make new pictures as some are not too good in showing details or are too dark otherwise. That goes on my list, but although I would like to get that done sooner rather than later it might take considerable time before I have energy/time to do anything.. Have to have plans, right?

Hot air balloon necklace
Now that I don't feel I want to touch the sewing machine that much I concentrate on other things. Like this necklace, flower head bands etc. Small additional stuffs. I am also knitting a Human sized scarf which I am planning to offer for sale as well. Something different and an attempt to expand the size/product base I am offering. I must admit though, anything in human size takes longer time and will be offered only occassionally.

Anyway, please keep checking back for a warm hand knitted scarf pictures :)
Not to mention a supergem skirt/dress thing I am working on (still haven't decided which one it will be..)

Pink candy dreams

13 days since the new year started.
I have been busy with lots of things, but occassionally been able to spare some time for handycrafts.
I try to keep a little distance to sewing as I did so much before Christmas.

What I have finished now:
*Knitted a scarf - light blue and silver coloured. Even though it is not Dolly sized I have been considering I might offer few things in Human size as well. I started knitting another one - light blue violet which is narrow version of the other one. Pictures later.

*Origami cranes ~

*Bunch of flower headbands, tiny/MSD/SD sized. I will post them to the shop later as well. Please see below for few designs. Flower wreath is something of an experiment.

*Finished a skirt in SD/SD13 size. Candy pink with satin and organza layers, few Candy details and glass beads. A bit heavier for a doll to wear but bunch of details to look at.

Candy Dream skirt - SD/SD13 size
Flower Wreath - pink, white and violet paper flowers and berriers

Nene modelling one of the blueberry headbands.
Two designs were made. Goes well with the Dollheart dress she is wearing.
I will be updating more pictures soon. Please check the store for new headbands and other clothing!~
Few tiny dresses are waiting to be finished. I am in desperate need of proper models and pictures of the clothing..
The snow finally came to Finland. Therefore more light is reflected during the day. Better for the pictures.
My apologies for the poor quality of the pictures before Christmas. Things should be better from now on ~

New year - new plans

Collage of fireworks 2014
Happy New Year for everybody!
I had a chance of testing my camera when the year changed. I rather like the pictures I got.

During my Christmas Holiday I had time to try something new. Rather pinkish theme, later something else.
First up few lace bras for SD girls. Two petticoats as well.

Pink Lace bra for SD girls.
Two different designs. 1 piece of each. Snap fasteners at the back.
One of my dolls was suppose to have all pink outfit and thus all this pink theme. Lace bra, petticoats.. Yes.. But this wasn't the end of it. There is also satin/organza skirt dream with few candy details and such. It is not quite finished yet so no pictures yet. Should finish it next week..
Pink petticoats - satin waist piece, elastic band enables them to fit variety of SD sized dolls.
Majority of my time went into finishing two bigger commissions - that MSD set with a complete underwear set and changes to that white satin dress I previously posted. Completed Super Gem black underwear set and black corset top.

Just for my own track keeping - Other things I made:
Inspired by origami cranes I made a mobile out of them. Why origami, it might have something to do with the fact that  I got some lovely Kiki's Delivery Service themed origami papers. Also tried out how to make an origami lily, the paper was handmade.. a bit too thick for the lily to keep its shape properly.. Made a kind of storage pocket for a tablet for there was no right sized one in the store. Also tried ambiously to make a box for my camera.. that however, didn't turn out too well.. I am concerned it won't protect it very well.. I will try to take few pictures and post some evidence of these other things.

Maybe Tsukifly blog should turn into a handycraft blog and not just a dolly clothing blog? What do you think?
Thanks for reading and I will be back with more photos.

Yo-SD/Tiny clothing

I believe I promised pictures of the clothing stuffs as well.
Although I had different sized stuff on my list it seems my pictures include only tiny clothing I made.
It seems I have a period to do something for smaller sizes, so I don't think there will be much SD stuff coming in near future. Probably also because I only have my MSD and Tiny around at the moment.

In these pictures you see Nene, Soom Sammi who recently arrived. I was in need of a tiny model and Soom Ai just didn't seem to work for me. Now I have Nene to try out. I have a special head for her as well, but I haven't gotten around doing the face-up for it just yet. It has been raining a lot. Maybe within two weeks time I might be able to do that..

Knee-lengt Yo-SD/Tiny sized dress
I have no idea what kind of style I would like for her, but she looks nice with this new dress. Button details in front and corset style details with ribbons at the back along with lace. Nice one ~

The same knee-length tiny dress has interesting details at the back..
With ribbon you can adjust it better ~
The color of the fabric suits her pink skin. I believe I have posted this for sale already so please take a look.

I was suppose to proceed and try some patterns I have, but I didn't get there yet. Instead I ended up drawing a new pattern for a simple Yo-SD/Tiny sized yukata. I received some lovely kimono fabrics as well as lots of polkadot fabrics to try out some plans. Now I think I do have enough fabrics to work on for a while. No fabric orders coming to my way. Well, maybe laces and buttons(!), but still.

Other thing I finished already a while ago. A waist high skirt in tiny size. Previously I mentioned something about doing Mix & Match stuff and this was one of those. I also have one simpler one in SD size once I get it fully finished.
Yo-SD/Tiny Mix & Match Macarons fabric skirt
I have various plans to buy wigs and eyes. I want to use them in the pictures as my girls hardly have any extra ones. Its also nice to change the style from time to time. So maybe later there will be pictures with more effort for display purposes. I would love to develop my skills with photographing dolls. I try to take more innovative shots rather than only head/close-ups. Might consider that as one good promise for next year. As for now I am afraid of those many Winter Events coming around... Already have few I need to consider... But enough of that.

As my last thing here I wish to mention that also bunny hats have gained some recognition :3
Received few commissions regarding them and will start working next week.

Tsukifly has a store~!

I must say I did not plan to set up a store so quickly.
However, I concluded it would be easier to keep track of what I have in stock and what I would like to make next. Some variety in products will be achieved through this, I hope.

The Store can be found from: http://tsukifly.storenvy.com/
I will try to keep it as updated as possible. Most of the stock I have available ready  to be shipped are now there. The blog as well as the story are still to be made more user friendly. I will be doing the work when I have time. Please enjoy~

New products include underwears!~
I heard they might be wanted so I wanted to try and make some.
This is a set offered at the shop, includes both top and panties pictured. Size is SD, but I plan to try some in MSD as well. Later also MNF size if I am able to get my hands on a model.
Navy blue SD underwear set
I am very pleased how Supergem bra turned out. The color is not exactly what my girl would wear but then again they were made out of curiosity. Personally I love how the details came out.
Fitted pink bra for Supergems
I also had some cute leftover stuff to make some necklaces. I still have plans for several others but they have to wait a little until I have more time to think about them.
Also a cute Lollipop/ribbon necklace. Have to have some accessories as well.
Overall a lot of work for one day. I think I have earned my break. Please keep checking back.
