A new year and activity increase?

I feel rather worse for having neglected this blog for so long.
While studying in another country I haven't got even a single needle in my possession at the moment. Let alone anything with which I could do anything productive...

While I did make several sketches of possible new designs - mainly in MNF and DD sizes I didn't have time to touch my sewing machine during the holidays. You know how it is. Be away for a long time and go back to visit and you just need to visit everybody within that short period of time since who knows when the next possibility will present itself?

Tenrai - Doll-chateau Russell

Anyways, at least I got Tenrai during the holidays. He had been patiently waiting in his box since September. Originally I think I ordered him in April - long wait but I am happy with my little fantasy foxie. He is so nicely sculpted. In need of new eyes but no immediate hurry. I have also sketched a plan for him - kind of jacket thing once I have the possibility.

Additionally Rein, my lovely DD model is more or less ready to step up on stage. Sodadress is absolutely gorgeous and that deer headdress is more than cute.

Button themed dresses are on my planning list. MNF size will be tested once my little MNF model arrives. Possibly during Easter I will have some extra time to get into working again.

Additionally it may be that Tsukifly products will end up all the way to Taiwan this year? Who knows...

So there, nothing much of an update but at least few nice pictures of my new models and some hints of the coming plans. I try to provide more information sometime in the future.

I am planning to post some old pictures of some very first Tsukifly products. Once I come across them.. Oh the nostalgia (?)

Mix & Match & Hot air balloon

It is snowing outside.
 Rather cold with proper degrees (around -15 celsius during the weekend..)
I haven't been feeling inspired to touch the sewing machine but I went through some older creations.
One necklace - hot air balloon was found, I don't think I have taken pictures or posted it anywhere just yet.
I will correct that. A new picture of the Mix & Match experiment as well.
Discovered I have some amazing fabrics, should just get around doing something out of them.

 I updated some info and pictures in the Store. I should do some cleaning and make new pictures as some are not too good in showing details or are too dark otherwise. That goes on my list, but although I would like to get that done sooner rather than later it might take considerable time before I have energy/time to do anything.. Have to have plans, right?

Hot air balloon necklace

Now that I don't feel I want to touch the sewing machine that much I concentrate on other things. Like this necklace, flower head bands etc. Small additional stuffs. I am also knitting a Human sized scarf which I am planning to offer for sale as well. Something different and an attempt to expand the size/product base I am offering. I must admit though, anything in human size takes longer time and will be offered only occassionally.

Anyway, please keep checking back for a warm hand knitted scarf pictures :)

Not to mention a supergem skirt/dress thing I am working on (still haven't decided which one it will be..)

First snow and feeling of frost

Its been a while again. My apologies for that.
I haven't been able to take many pictures due to some difficulties with my camera.
Considering to update it to something smaller and more convinient although my Canon 400D has served me well.

Last week I was granted a small autumn holiday. While I was greatful for that I decided to work on some new Tsukifly designs. One long Supergem dress is waiting to be finished (I must say its a bit different from my previous designs). There is also one Yo-sd dress. Two MNF/Unoa sized corset tops were also almost finished. One SD sized knee-length skirt is around as well. Most of these pieces need snap fasteners and some small finishing details.

Tsukifly set suggestion:
One of the last bigger headpieces (there were three bigger ones and one with smaller flowers) is still around so I decided to try it out with one of the new dresses. The Paris themed dress, not properly pictures in my previous blogpost was selected.

My dear friend took a lovely picture of the dress on one of her dolls. The two parts of the set are both for sale.
The dress is pictures here with a longer petticoat which is unfortunately not included with the dress.
However, it is shown here how an underskirt can create a nice extra lift for the whole dress.

One commissioned pullip dress is around my table now. It is going to be a candy themed thing. Just to reveal something about it until its ready to be shared. I have some issues how to create frosting so we will see if that works out...

Oh, you are probably wondering about the title of this entry. During my autumn holiday in Northern Finland we got first snow, frost and minus degrees. I didn't spend much time outside, but still, the air is quite nice when its cold. Somehow fresh but different than what you get after rain. Hard to explain really..

My doll crew is also experiencing some 'cleansing' so to say.
I have the feeling I have too many around so I am selling some of my lovely ones on DoA. They are not getting enough attention or I am just not bonding with them the way I hoped.

Almost all the newest ones are going to have to go. These include DD-Anne March Hare, Soom Sweet Witch OE head, Soom Ai (see previous blogpost), and Noble Dolls Valentine Raspberry in Dark tan. As said I feel I need to consider a little what I want from my dolls.

I have a story around my dolls. Unless they become a solid part of it they are in danger to be up for adoption (sometimes even quite fast). Currently I am looking for a MNF model though. I was hoping Raspberry would have worked for that but nope. She is too special for my taste if I may say so. I am hoping all the above mentioned dollies find their new loving homes soon.
