Preparations for IDOLL

Stock preparations for Tsukifly have been more or less completed.
Clothing stock includes few tiny sized dresses, one or two MSD sized items and mainly SD/SD13/SD16/Supergem sized dresses, mix&match pieces and other items.

IDOLL exclusive dress completed the other day. Largely lace inspired. A sister dress for the other dress made out of the same lovely blue lace used for the skirt part.
I am quite pleased how it turned out. Mostly handsewn, but seams should be as strong as any. After all don't need to go that far back to remember the time without any sewing machines.
IDOLL exclusive - Blue lace dress with choker

Moreover, it was fun to make something in Supergem size. Its been a little while. Sheri was a fine model with a hint of new style.

Now listing of the stock is the only remaining issue.

Some of the flower headbands will be remain and there are sketches of the new ones which I plan to test / make at some point. Maybe for summer ? Additionally MNF sized stock will be updated, also likely sometime in the summer time. pl

Few new necklaces completed as well. Some have mint coloured resin flower as their center piece, clock parts, beads.
Speaking of clock parts they are likely to follow in larger scale as some dress details - to reveal a hint or two what might be expected.
Necklaces

I believe that is all about the updates for now. IDOLL stock will be off and plans continue to develop. I will be back in due course.

Greetings from Dolliverse 2014

This year's Dolliverse is now over.
An amazing experience. I had wonderful time and moreover a wonderful driver who took very good care of me. I don't think the experience would have been as wonderful without him!
There was a lot to see around our tables. This year my dear friend was unable to attend herself so I was the sole person minding the two tables. It was an experience. And a busy one!
Tsukifly & Hime*Hime table - seems to have a lot of things..
A big thank you for everybody who bought my creations

I am very happy that many of you remembered me from last year. I was very happy to see my creations on your dolls as well! For this year I even had some cards to hand over. Nothing much, but the blog address was there at least. Furthermore it was wonderful to hear your comments! Not only regarding my products but about the table set up and everything as well~!

Comments give me renewed confidence for the future. They also give me hints what you would like to see next time. I was asked several times whether I will be there again next year. Well, I will try of course, but since I have some major changes coming (graduation!) circumstances may change. Please keep checking back - I am sure to write about my plans later on.

This cute girl visited my table.
Along she had two smallest BJDs I have ever seen.
Last year there were more Pullip people around. This year MSD size would have been most preferred so for the next time I must stock up on that one. MSD seems to be a bit tricky for me, my MSD model being elsewhere for the most of the time.

If there is any size you would like to see available please feel free to let me know, I will see what I  can do :)
Overall I got the feeling that Dolliverse was more international as many dollmakers were present as well. The only thing I regret is not to have time to check all of them more closely! Otherwise I am very happy how it all went.

I was especially glad to briefly see DD-Anne and her lovely dolls. I have been checking her Flickr regularly for updates regarding Alice in Underland Chapter 5. She is making a queen ~ The size of the queen is intriquing. Additionally, now that I have seen the queen in person I think the sculpting is even more detailed than I imagined.
DD-Anne's Fairygarden ~
A saw her new Queen which seems lovely.
The size especially appeals to me..

Now I am looking to sort out the remaining Tsukifly items, take some new pictures, update the store and such.

Love the tan skin!
What is coming next? I may give a small hint that as a Dollfie Dream fan I have been wishing to bring one home with a new Volks DDS body. If I succeed in getting her then I presume there will be DD sized clothing coming available sometime in near future. Nothing much different to SD size, only their waist is more narrow. I might have few more adventurous dress set designs in mind...

What I would like to try is to make something for Cerisedolls. I like their body shape. Another such would be Leekeworld A or B bodies, the newest ones. I really liked Leekeworld's new fairy ~

I believe this suffice as a little account about this year's Dolliverse. I am looking forward to next year as I would love to come. Would prefer a more central location though, if the travel is going to be a long one, it may be difficult to reach. I will look into it. Thank you for your support and interest towards Tsukifly!~
Please keep checking back here as well. Next entry is likely to be somewhat different. Will be about DDS body and if I feel confident I might provide a tutorial on how to assemble one ~

On the brink of Dolliverse

One week to go! Dolliverse will be next Sunday!
I have been more than busy preparing various things, putting up tags, finishing up different things, planning on the possible display etc. Hardly have had time to think about taking pictures in between but managed to get some at least. Mina (Aileendoll Camellia) got her style right with a new set of eyes and a Licht wig.
Little helper Mina w/ suitcases for Dolliverse

Here she is with some suitcases that I will have for sale at Dolliverse. Leather suitcases we already had last year but this year I will also have two tin suitcases w/leather straps - something new as I wish to see which ones are preferred. The pink lace dress on Mina will also be available.
Pullip sized layered dresses for Dolliverse

Moreover, I saw that there was demand for Pullip sized dresses (last year's observation) and thus I have prepared something to that end. Several pullip sized dresses will be available. At least I can promise there are more designs than last year (regret I had only two available). This year the amount is more close to 10 I believe. Additionally there will be accessories sold separately. Headpieces, chokers etc. so people have a possibility to built up their own combination of the available pieces if they so wish. Mix and Match to your own liking if I can say so. Should I remind that the best ones are likely to go first? ^-^

Something new

Not so innovative heading, but tells the main reason why I am writing this.
I have made something! I took pictures etc. so I have achieved something during these quiet weeks.
I also travelled back to Holland for a while and visited Stoffenmarkt.
Got some new fabrics although I didn't really need any.
But you can never have enough fabrics, right? ~

I discovered my Kit lens has damaged, automatic focus is not functioning properly, poor thing.
Lucky I still have my Sigma zoom/macro lens. Covers the area of the kit lens and it is better anyway so I should use it more. Only that it is heavy to carry around.
Planning to get either 40mm pancake lens or 50mm lens for normal photographing.
Fisheye and 60mm Macro would also be on my list at some point *-*

I have finished three new dresses for sale. Rest will be up once I get proper photos.
Here is one photo of Vanamo modelling one of the three dresses.
Tsukifly Tutu dress with a white dress choker. The dress has three layers.
For the other two dresses I used Paris themed fabric and tulle.

Tsukifly Tutu dress w/lace choker
One SD sized dress coming in addition to the one pictured here.
The third one is finally in MSD size. Still have some issues with the design and Tori isn't very happy modelling such a light coloured dress. Poor thing has no options though.

I have plans to get more pictures next week. However, I have noticed that my plans are rather lenient as I have no idea whether I will actually have time to do the things I would like to. Will see about that.

Oh! Almost forgot. There are also few SD sized skirts. Mix & Match styled clothing coming up. I will now have my flat chested MSD girl around to model, maybe I will later get a Minifee or someone with a larger bust. Slim mini size.

Waiting for a tiny as well. About her I don't know (kind of impulse buy) but I figured a tiny would still be handy to have around.
I will be back with more photos, plans and news.

Commission and White Rabbit outfit

Lately I have been rather quiet. It has to do with summer holiday and the fact that I have been unable to gain access to internet for most of the time. Now that period is more or less over. This means I will be able to update more often.

Here is what has happened. After Dolliverse I got commissioned to make an MSD sized version of the bunny outfit I had made in tiny and SD size. Additional arm cuffs were requested as well. One picture of how it turned out. I had no MSD model available so the dress was made accoding to the size chart. A bit more difficult since I prefer to see it on a doll while making my dresses. Different methods need to be applied sometimes.

Tsukifly MSD commission dress for meymeez.
For more pictures please check her Flickr:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/58332578@N03/9309811770/lightbox/
From what I remember I already hinted I was working on Alice in Wonderland themed dresses as my next "bigger" project. First one of those is White Rabbit, now posted for sale as well. The dress comes with upper corset top, choker, arm cuffs, bunny ear headdress and a puffy skirt. Size is Super gem or similar sized dolls. Luella acting as a model for these few pictures.

First Alice themed dress: White Rabbit

Dress and all its parts
I have also used some nice macaron/Paris themed fabrics for few new SD dresses, knee lenght. I hope to get pictures of them at some point when I finish smaller details. Inspired to use the fabrics. Now I have my MSD model around as well. It is likely that  moreMSD sized dresses will soon be available.

Decorative flower headpieces

If you have checked Tsukifly's Store regularly you might have noticed that I have added few new designs after the headpieces I introduced in the previous post. After that post the blue one pictured at the bottom found a new home. I am happy and its currently waiting to be shipped.

So, encouraged by some of the comments I got concerning the previous headpieces I wanted to try a bit more decorative ones with more details. This naturally meant more flowers. Also tried out some new color combinations.
Only white flowers. I must say I like the bridal look of this one.

This one is my favourite out of the four new ones. Used colors are blue, white and gray.
Seems to go well with Luella.

This one is the most extensive, the Store has a better picture of the details.
Used colors are pink, white, gray and blue.

One with less details and big flowers to balance out my day :3
Almost all of the new headpieces have been listed for sale as well. I will also post the last one with less details later on. Currently I am working on a complete dress set for Supergem girls. Unfortunately that is the only size I have a model for at the moment. All my girls are elsewhere except for Luella and I am eagerly waiting to get back to them once my summer holiday begins at the end of next week. During my holiday I have bunch of plans and I wish to take more creative photos. Inside photos aren't really what I like to take, but in the absence of an alternative... Well, have to take those for a while. Anyway, the dress set will be OOAK white rabbit 'girl' version. Just to reveal something about it.

New design and a pullip dress

Dolliverse has gone and other things have been in my mind.
My lovely suitcases.
White one for Alina (CP Juri '05) and pink/flower one for Vanamo and Hisa
Also found cute pastilles.
My dear friend went back to China and I am also leaving the Netherlands for a while to do my internship.
I am hoping to have access to sewing machine and my extensive fabric collection better when I get back home home. I suspect I might feel like opening a treasure chest or something~

At least now I have some pictures to share.
The suitcases I chose from our table at Dolliverse to be used for some dolly photos later. Absolutely love their details. There is also a hot air balloon necklace thing shown on one of the suitcases. That is going to be a necklace for either Hisa or Vanamo. Will see who will claim it once I get it done.

As said in my previous post there would have been more demand for pullip sized dresses.
I decided to test one as my dear friend was kind enough to provide me one extra body as a model.
Poor thing is headless, not really an ideal model but still, the dress can be shown :3
The light blue Pullip dress shown above is currently for sale: 17 Euros +  shipping

My lovely Luella (Soom MD Cuprit) is modeling a new lace tie back top.
Etsy fabrics which I will use later for dresses
Too dark for her style, but this was made to be offered for sale.
I think I like the design though. Also love the details through laces and ribbons (there are two at the back, as well as nother detail as there is only one snap fastener). I am fan of my own things~

I got loads of new fabrics and ribbons.
My lovely friend contributed a lot - Thank you sweetie

I had also placed an Etsy order for some new fabrics. They arrived this week and are absolutely lovely. Have to wait a bit till I get around doing something with them but they are so nice to look at. Keep it as a glimpse of what might be used for future designs.

Black lace tie back top.

I must say I was very happy to receive a commission work for one of my dress designs.
I will be updating picture of the finished product once that has been done.
As for the designs I can do them in different sizes if there is interest.

I am going to update commission/general infos and such later on. I have been considering whether to open an Etsy shop of my own. However, so far I don't have enough courage or time for that. Would need to do some better picture taking.

Maybe later then. For now I will just enjoy using all these new fabrics and surfing Etsy for new things (there can never be enough)..

Dolliverse 2013

So, yesterday I attended to Dolliverse 2013, a wonderful dolly event here in the Netherlands.
Met a lot of wonderful people and a special thanks to all those who liked my dresses and bought them.

Last time I had issues as I had very little time to prepare and very little to sell.
Now I had more which is why it took so long to get the stand up.
All those price tags...
I feel I was right to make tiny dresses as there were many tinies to  try them out.
However, I did notice that more Pullip sized clothing would have been needed.
Both dresses I had in Pullip size were sold.
There is something for me to consider for the next time I hope.
So, a list to remind me later.

To do better next time:
- Stand display planning
- Pullip sized clothing
- MSD sized clothing

Mai - DD-Anne March Hare is searching for a new home, she was also on display at the table.
Thus, it was not only the clothing but also DD-Anne table set and her, which made half of the display for this time.

Overall I am very pleased how the day went.
Now I will post some of the remaining stock to Den of Angels for sale.
The actual sales post can be viewed here:

Some pictures from yesterday as well. To share my excitement of the day.
My Hisa ( the one standing) and her twin sister Himawari were the cuties of our table

My attempt to take a picture of the stand itself..

A closer picture of the Tsukifly side of the table (as I shared my table with my friend).

My next plans are to work on some Alice in Wonderland themed dress sets.
I have plans for at least a girly white rabbit outfit set - So far I have half finished with a hat.
Also I need to plan a Cheshire outfit. Each of my girls is to take on a character from Alice in a photoshoot.
Once I get there someday. Of course would be awesome to make all the outfits for them myself under Tsukifly.
That is something to try at least.
So yes, that is all for now.

Big day tomorrow!

I have been working on the remaining stuff for the table set-up.
Dolliverse will be tomorrow! 16th June, 2013~!
There will be a whole table set for sale, kind of special one, Alice themed by a chinese artist DD-Anne.
Necklace stuffs also arrived so I was able to make some new designs :3
(See a teaser below.. )
So many amazing stuff. I totally love Etsy ~
We had a temporary background problem, but luckily we figured out a solution.
Tomorrow it will be seen whether that will work in practice.

I have also painted some mannequins, even made a wire stand for one.
Going to do similar ones for the others, but for now they just have to stand in some other way.
I really love how they display the clothes though.

People just shouldn't be afraid to also buy the dresses on the mannequins as well as on hangers. Nobody will ruin my table set-up by doing that, they are there to find new homes and bring happiness for dolls and owners who buy them :3
I am excited to see how these designs will be received by the people.
Tomorrow I shall finally see.

A teaser how necklaces will be displayed and what might be available at our Dolliverse table.

Finally, I had some serious problems to be able to fit everything in my suit case.
Setting up a table requires a lot of additional stuff on top of all the sales stuff and stock I have.
Whoah. Somehow I got all packed up. For now. Only my camera remains... And I seriously want that with me as well..!
I just have to fit it somewhere else..

If you are around Utrech, The Netherlands tomorrow there is Dolliverse to visit!
I hope to have some news and table pictures later, provided that I get the camera with me.
Thank you for reading~

Velvet dress and beads

Hello again ~!
It has been raining this week. Not very inspired about that fact, but fresh air is good.
I have been busy completing some other things for a while.
In any case new creations are always in my mind - more or less.

While studying and having very limited access to any sewing machine my bigger projects have to wait.
Thus, majority of the dresses and other clothes will be in tiny size. Or it seems so!
If there is any size in particular that would spark an interest I would love to take suggestions :3

Now I wanted to make some jewellery to go with the other things.
Personally I love keys so key theme was a natural choice.

All three options will be available at Dolliverse.
Previously I have also made animals and jewellery out of beads.
A while back I found some beads from my boxes and I wanted to make use of them as well.
Small companions for your dolls (beaded spiders and dragonflies!) or  a flowery headpiece to choose from.

Finally, as can be seen this velvet dress and beads don't go together although the headline would like to suggest so.
I could not resist buying this velvet fabric.
Not very fun sewing it by hand, but all done and quite happy with the outcome.
Still thinking to add something to the collar, kind of feels like it is missing something..

Velvet dress in tiny size w/ lace collar
I will be back with some new updates after a week or so.
Have to do some travelling in between without proper access to internet (but a sewing machine instead!).

 Thank you for reading.

A tiny dose of tiny dresses

My little Enne (Soom R.Picro) has been my 'fashion victim' for the whole week.
That means she has been there to model my newest creations in tiny size.

I decided it was time to try and make few longer dresses.
For both of these dresses I have used similar design, even similar fabric.
Only the color of the fabrics and used laces/ribbons are different.
Yellow&orange dress has an accompanying headdress although not shown well in the photo.
Orange&Yellow long dress w/ headdress
Long pink dress
These two longer dresses will be up for sale.
I believe only these two will be offered for now. The rest are likely to be knee-lenght.

Knee-lenght dress made out of japanese sakura/ribbon fabric.
That blue knee-lenght dress is my personal favorite from this week. I am a fan of that japanese sakura/ribbon fabric so naturally I like everything made out of it (previously I made longer dress in SD size).
Seems to be a bit too flowery for Enne though.

In addition I also made one another knee-lenght dress. From the same pink bunny fabric as the above longer dress.
Only that this time I paid more attention to the back side of the dress rather than the front of it (it has very modest buttons only). Some ribbons and laces to decorate the skirt part.

Back of a knee-lenght pink dress.
Now my plans are to gather up older stuff, try out some knee-lenght dresses with lace fabrics and build up some more stock for sale. So far I am pretty pleased with all the dresses and other things I have, but I wish to be able to offer even more variety of different products.

New creations

It seems I have been very active lately.
Have to make the stuff when you have an inspiration to do so.
At least now I feel I have some lovely dresses and other things to sell.
Selection of bunny hats in varying sizes: Tiny, SD, MSD, Pullip
There will be six of them (red one not pictured) for sale.

SD sized dress w/bunny headdress. Matching set in Tiny size.

I haven't yet been able to decide who to bring as my model alongside some mannequins to display some of the dresses. Hisa (Volks Lorina) would be the obvious candidate though :) Also considering Enne (my Soom R.Picro) for she is small enough not to take up too much space.

Again more decisions. But those are about display itself and can wait for a while now. As can be seen this post is mainly to update and show some pictures of what is to come. These has been made so far.

I have some old stock I will be bringing up as well, attach labels on them.

Down below you will also see a Soom top I made today.
Overall I am pretty pleased how it turned out. The fabric was a bit of a challenge. Had all those nice patterns I wanted to bring forth. Love the fabric and I also got to use some of those nice buttons I previously bought.

That is all for now, catch you later!
